United Way

Fond du Lac Area United Way

  • Project: Content Updates

  • Hours Completed: 7
  • Description: The Fond du Lac Area United Way is using GoDaddy's Website Tonight content management system. I was asked to help assist the Executive Director in using the CMS to manage the Website. My duties include image editing/upload, content updates, and technical consulting on the usage of the GoDaddy CMS.

Blue Iris

  • Description: Blue Iris had created a design for Le's Bridal but their current developer was unable to get the design to fit into a tableless CSS layout. I took their design and created an HTML/CSS template that the site's content could be placed within
  • Project 2: Website Launch Checklist | Research

  • Description: Lisa Wise of Blue Iris asked for my assistance in creating a Website Launch checklist that her developers could use. Using resources I found on the Web, I created a reference list that encompassed most common tasks requiring completion before I Website can be successfully launched.

  • Description: I was contacted by the Village of Saint Cloud to assist them in designing a new Website their community could use. They were given a Client Information Survey to fill out. The survey was never completed and the project was terminated.

Sound Dynamics

  • Description: I was contacted by Sound Dynamics to build a company Website for their Home Automation business located in the SE Wisconsin area. They were given a Client Information Survey to fill out. The survey was never completed and the project was terminated.

Central Wisconsin Educators

Central Wisconsin Educators

  • Project: Website Redesign

  • Hours Completed: 48
  • Description: The Central Wisconsin Educators is a not-for-profit organization that holds an annual educators convention with the mission of providing quality training opportunities for educators and support staff in Central Wisconsin. CWE has been using a website that was created by a past board member and was outdated in design and function and hosted on a free shared hosting plan. I upgraded their hosting to a more reliable plan, updated the design of their site, then worked with them to add content to the site relavant to this years convention.

  • Project: Website Redesign/Maintenance

  • Description: Debra Lee is an artist that lives and works out of the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin area. Debra has a collection of over 100 paintings and needed an updated site for displaying and selling her artwork. Debra was getting reports from site visitors that they were getting "lost" navigating her old site. In planning this redesign I focused on a simple graphical design that put the viewers attention on Debra's artwork, added a blog, created and linked a Facebook account, added a contact form, created and linked a print order form, and created a new gallery layout that is easily navigated and easily updated with new print releases.

Solterra Communications

  • Responsibilities: Web Design / Web Development / Consultant
  • Description: Solterra Communications is located in Adams County, Ohio and serves clients in Wisconsin and Ohio. I am working in a "as needed" capacity with duties including site desigin, CSS/HTML/JavaScript consulting, and template creation.
Adams County Travel and Visitors Bureau
  • Project 1: Adams County Travel and Visitors Bureau

  • After Feb 2010 the site will be live at this address: http://www.adamscountytravel.org/
  • Description: Jeff wanted a new design for Adams County Travel and Visitors Bureau that would allow for large background images that could be changed with the seasons. Jeff also wanted to be able to have a content slider in the header. I developed the Design for this Website in Photoshop, then hand coded the HTML and CSS before handing it off to Jeff for content.
Humane Society of Adams County
  • Project 2: Humane Society of Adams County
  • Website URL: http://adamscountyanimals.org/
  • Description: The Humane Society of Adams County was in dire need of a Website for their organization. For this project I opted to use WordPress as a Content Management System. Using a free theme I found online, I edited the theme to better fit out needs, then created 3 static pages along with a "blog" page that would function as a "Latest News" page.

  • Jeff needed some content updates for his company's Website. Using copy he provided I updated the site accordingly.
Blue Spring Innovations
  • Project 4: Blue Spring Innovations
  • Website URL: http://www.bluespringinnovations.org/
  • Description: Patty Dreier of Blue Spring Innovations needed a Website for her grant writing organization. Patty selected stock photography for use on the Website from iStock.com. She then recommended using a water theme for the general feel of the Website. I created a design in Photoshop and then hand coded the HTML and CSS before handing it off to Jeff for content.
Patty Dreier for Portage County
  • Project 5: Patty Dreier for Portage County

  • My Design prior to content (in case campaign site is no longer active): Archived Site
  • Description: Patty Dreier is running for Portage County Executive 2010, she asked Jeff to create a campaign Website for her. I created a design for the new Website in Photoshop and then hand coded the HTML and CSS before handing it off to Jeff for content.
